3 reasons why sometimes its best to join a group rather than go it alone…

1. You’ve tried handling problems or concerns on your own and things are not improving.

2. You’re craving other people’s ideas and support.

3. You want to be a part of something bigger than yourself.

Group Therapy Teaches You About Yourself!

By Ilissa Banhazl, MFT

Group therapy is an interpersonal experience and an effective way to learn about yourself. The group environment is very much like your own little family. People naturally assume roles much like they did in their family of origin or in their present relationships. In group you will learn in respectable ways how people perceive you. This gives you the opportunity to choose your behaviors. You will have an opportunity to share and support others. You will learn from others new things you might want to try. You will definitely make friends!

I received some calls for my Divorce Group this week. Please call if you have an interest. We need more members to start this group.

Just a reminder that my Women’s Support Group will be start ing late September. Please call for more information. 626-335-0903.
